“Great!” she squealed with excitement, completely forgetting about her fears. “I’ll be right back down.” Shiloh ran back into the building at top speed, and up the three flights of stairs, until she reached her floor. She skipped down the hallway, with a big smile on her face. She couldn’t wait; this was going to be fun. Once she reached her room, she quietly opened the door, and tiptoed in. Since her roommate was asleep, she used the light from her phone to guide her. Her flashlight was in her night-table drawer, along with a few extra batteries, which she shoved in her sweatshirt pocket. She quickly put sweatpants on over her pajama boxers, and changed from her flip-flops into a pair of sneakers. Ready to go. She went back outside, and saw Alli waiting for her. “Are we ready?” she asked.

I’m getting a little nervous just looking at it.” She bit her lip, with her gaze fixed on the forest. Shiloh was always up for a fun adventure - and this was definitely adventurous. She was scared, but she was getting the feeling that she might want to join Alli. “Actually..” she paused, while she thought again for another quick second, making sure she definitely wanted to do this. “Can I join you? I don’t want to be intruding, so if you wanted to go alone, that’s cool. But it seems kinda neat out there.”

Shiloh looked down at Alli’s hand, and noticed she was holding a flash light. “Exploring?” she asked, with a puzzled look on her face. “Where are you planning to explore?”
Alli smoothed out her black dress before pulling on her off-white overcoat and buttoning it. It wasn’t exactly the warmest day. She kicked off her high-heels and tugged on a pair of black sneakers and black gloves. Her phone tucked into her coat pocket and flash light in hand, she was ready to…

Shiloh lay awake in her bed, tossing and turning. Whenever she would try to fall asleep, she would always think about things; whatever would come to her mind, really. Tonight, she was thinking about home. Shiloh was extremely excited to be at Glenwood University, but the first night was hard, and she was getting a little homesick. She was getting anxious, and laying in her hot, uncomfortable bed wasn’t helping her feel better. She decided to go sit outside for a few minutes, and get some fresh air. Maybe it would help her feel better.
She threw her brother’s old football sweatshirt on over her ripped up concert tee that she was wearing to bed, and kept on her plaid pajama boxers. She slipped on a pair of flip-flops, and slowly snuck out of her door, being as quiet as possible in order to not wake up her roommate. She walked down the flights of stairs, slowly opened the front door, and sat on the front steps. Shiloh already began to feel relaxed. It was a little chilly, so she put her hood up, and crossed her arms. Her bare calves were getting goosebumps. She looked up at the dark sky, and began to count the stars, when she suddenly heard footsteps. Who else could possibly be out this late? she wondered. She saw a figure with dark hair walking towards the woods, but she couldn’t make out any of his or her features. “Hello?” she called out.
